For life, for love.

Indrek Hargla’s debut play „Andromeda’s Island“ tells a captivating story. It takes place in the present day. The action unfolds on an exotic island in the middle of the ocean. A girl and a boy are shipwrecked. They have to survive and find their way home. But the boy is kidnapped by a woman who wears a mask with horns and calls herself Andromeda. It is her island. Ancient gods punished her for her vanity.

Andromeda is a character from ancient Greek mythology. She was ordered to be sacrificed to Cetus by an oracle. She was chained to the foot of a cliff. Fortunately Perseus was there, and he fell in love with the maiden instantly. After her death she was raised to the heaven as a constellation.
