PAPERCLIP BELT

Play with death.

In 2006, “Paperclip Belt” (“Kirjaklambritest vöö”) was awarded the second place at the youth novel contest organized by the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre and the Tänapäev Publishers. The story gives an insight into the thoughts and lives of young people today. Kati, the protagonist seems to be a usual rebelling teenager.
The author reflected in an interview: "I made a paperclip chain once and played it until it broke. Then I associated it with the personality of the main character, Kati. She is also made of different elements and seems to be strong, but can still fall into pieces very easily."

The production is part of European theatre network Platform 11+.
