Four European theatre companies specializing in productions of contemporary drama for young people present a unique event in Autumn 2007. Theatre Café Europe is about giving a platform to new European plays which have not yet gained exposure outside their home countries. Some of the texts are written expressly for the youth, some have simply caught the imagination of young people in their countries.

Theatre Café Europe is a co-production of:

VAT Theatre, Tallinn (Estonia)
MUZ Theatre, Amsterdam (Holland)
Le Grand Bleu, Lille (France)
Company of Angels, London (UK)

These four companies will present a network of events across Europe, producing 20 new plays for young audiences in rehearsed readings in specially designed "Theatre Café" spaces. Plays will be shared and translated across the different countries and languages. Each event in the different countries will be accompanied by panel discussions, meetings with writers, conferences and parties. Estonian writing "The Real Elvis" ("Elvis oli kapis") by Urmas Vadi will be read in London.

The plays to be read in Tallinn, are:

Colors (Colörs) - Peca Stefan (Romania)
